Sept. 1st Working Group Meeting Summary

September 2, 2010 in Meetings

The Open Data in Science Working Group held its monthly meeting this past Wednesday with 5 people in attendance (including 2 new members!).

To see the agenda and notes from the meeting, see the okfnpad.org page.

The simple summary is:

  • Rufus made some Panton Principles buttons (PNG, SVG). He is looking for feedback on color choice.
  • Working Group Blog created (you’re reading it now!)
  • Panton Discussions: Peter Murray-Rust would love to have one done at Science Online London, if anyone is interested, please let him know.
  • Some outreach/publicity of supports for the Panton Principles infrastructure work.
  • Panton Papers: a suggestion to add the topic of journal data archiving policies (thanks Heather!)

Be sure to attend the next meeting which will be on October 6th at 17:00 UTC!

  1. Re: IsItOpen enquiries
Suggest that the title of enquiry name the recipient and perhaps the subject of the enquiry (some of the earlier requests are simply headed “Data Openness Enquiry” which doesn’t lead to useful browsing).
